They/Them and Sometimes She

Hi, my name is Megan Rach. I’m a queer and non-binary artist in Los Angeles, CA.

I haven’t released this yet, but this is a short film about cutting my hair and coming out as non-binary.

I had just gotten my hair cut for the first time in years. I didn’t think I would be emotional until I got home and just stared at the chopped off ponytail (which I later donated)

This monologue was entirely improvised. I grabbed my camera, set up a single light, and just talked to myself for a good 10 minutes.

Filming myself in front of the mirror was particularly difficult. Everything in this film was real.

I’m hoping to add a score before I release it to the public but for now it’s an exclusive for you guys!
